You must be aware of Gmail Labs which has got whole lot of features that could be activated any time you want. These features help us in getting done minor works like Searching through Inbox, Reply to all mail button, Undo sending mail.

Until now these features were in its beta stage i.e. test version. Gmail Team has decided to promote 6 of the Gmail Labs features and make it a Standard feature within Gmail.

• Search Auto complete: You will get suggestions like contact email id, labels etc while typing in Gmail Search Box

• Go To Label: Just type the name of any Label. For Example: Office, this will auto type ‘label: Office’ operator in the search box, making it easier  to move to required labels

• Forgotten Attachment Detector: In case you forget to attach any files while sending a mail, you will receive a notification reminding you to add an attachment

• YouTube Preview: In case your friends share YouTube videos through mail, then you can watch those videos right from Gmail Inbox

• Custom Label Colors: Not satisfied with the Label Colors currently available, and then add your own custom label colors

• Vacation Dates: In case you are going on vacation in few weeks, then set Vacation Date in advance and leave rest to Gmail. When you are out, Gmail will automatically send response to your incoming mail

Gmail Lab Features to be removed ( Retirement )

• Muzzle: Removes friends Gmail Chat Status

• Fixed Width Font: Lets you view messages in a Fixed Width Font

• Email Addict: Feature that will shut down Gmail for 15 minutes to let you do other work

• Location Signature: Displays your location as a part of Gmail Signature

• Random Signature: Adds famous quotes at the end of every mail sent
