With the launch of every new version there is a need to uninstall the earlier version. This means that every Bookmark, Saved passwords, Speed Dials etc will be lost.

You can create a backup of Opera Bookmark, Save Password, Speed Dials etc and restore it in the newly installed version with OperaBackup 1.3.

OperaBackup 1.3 has got a simple interface, with two important options ‘Backup’ and ‘Restore Backup’.

Click on ‘Backup’ button and select the user profile. The default folder is c drive; you can change it if the user profile is located in any other drive.

Once done with this, click on ‘Start’ button, the backup file will be saved in desired location. If you want to backup more data from Opera Browser like RSS Feeds, Skins, Blocked Content list etc. Click on ‘Settings’ button and check the required option in the list.

Now to restore backup, click on ‘Restore Backup’ button and open the Backup file which was saved earlier.

Opera Widgets were already available in the previous version of opera browser, what is so special about these widgets?

Until now Opera Widgets was part of the browser and worked only when the browser was open. But, with Opera 10.20 these widgets can be used right from the desktop, without any need to open the Opera Browser.

Only thing required is that Opera Browser should be installed in your P.C. It doesn’t matter if the Opera Browser in on or not.

These Widgets work in similar way like widgets in Windows vista or Windows 7.

Widgets mainly include Google Translator and Twitter desktop client. You can also download widgets like Torus, which is a Tetris like game and use it right from the desktop.
