Find Meaning of Words in Online Dictionary via Firefox
Easily find meaning of a word in Dictionary websites, from Firefox Web Browser with Dictionary Search Plugin. Sometimes, we come across certain words which are completely new to us and unknown. In order to find the meaning of the word, we will either Google it or browse into dictionary websites like yourdictionary.com.
This work can be done easily with Dictionary Search Plug-in for Firefox. This add-on will make it easier to search for words within specific websites.
Once you install this plug-in, Firefox will ask for restart. After this when you want to search for a meaning of a word. Just highlight the word, right click on it. Here, you will find an option ‘Search Dictionary for‘, select it. Immediately a new tab will open with the dictionary website displaying the meaning of your word.
By default, the add-on has tfd.com (The Free Dictionary) website as a primary search website. You can add three more Dictionary websites.
To do this, just go to ‘Tools‘ in Firefox and select ‘Add-ons’. Here you will find ‘Dictionary Search‘ options.
Click on it and in the second text field paste these words – Search Dictionary for “$”.
In the next text field, paste the name of any dictionary search website, for example http://www.yourdictionary.com/$. Along with a dollar symbol at the end after the forward slash.
When you are done with this, you will be free to search for any words within dictionary search websites, with a right click.
