SiteUp is free software which is capable of monitoring website or blog, uptime and downtime from your Desktop. SiteUp is free software and you can easily install it.

Once you install the software, click on the ‘Add Site’ to add the URL of the website or blog. In the ‘Specify a Word or Phrase’ field type any Keyword or title of your Website and click on ‘Check Site for Text’ option.

Basically what this software does is searches for the Keyword which have you set in the website. If SiteUp application does not find the keyword it concludes that the site is down and the Software will Display a Warning Message in your TaskBar.
