Windows Conficker Virus spreads quickly infecting 9 Million Users

Kaspersky Lab has detected multiple variants of worm known as Kido infecting many computers all over world. The worm disables Automatic Updates, System Restore, Error Reporting Services and disables Access to Security Websites.

The Malicious program is known as “Downadup” aka” Conficker and “Kido”. The worm mainly targets corporate servers which have not installed security update 958644 (MS08-067) recently released by Microsoft.

The worm tries to access computers within a network by guessing its passwords and it will succeed when a system has a weak password.
